Choosing the location of your photoshoot can feel overwhelming. I am here to help you narrow down the perfect spot to capture images that feel authentically you.

Gilford Athletic Fields

Pros: Lots of varied spots from the white barn, to the stone wall, to the side fields.

Cons: Can be competing with sporting event parking- we can work around this (and have plenty of times) but it takes some creative positioning (which is my job anyways ;) ) Not as "private" for the above reasons. For some folks, having other people in the area can heighten their photo-taking-nerves. I'll be your biggest cheerleader to overcome them- but it's worth mentioning.

Covered Bride


Pros: Great spot to both shoot inside the bridge as well as the beautiful stone beach in front. Beautiful foliage in the fall. Easy for low-mobility folks.

Cons: Tricky with midday sun. Not as varied of backgrounds as spots like the athletic fields.

Lakeside**

**Sadly, not available for multi-family groups


Pros: Who doesn't love a water shot? Several docks to choose from as well as the pier and the pine grove waterside.

Cons: Sometimes the smoke/fog will prevent you from seeing the mountains in the background. Harsh lighting on the docks from around 10am till the hour before sunset. Battling the squinty eyes! A bit of walking to get to the different spots. Not much "color" if shooting in the fall.

Nature Trail


Pros: Plenty of shade to work with all day long. Lots of backgrounds from the fern grove, to forrest, and the brook as well.

Cons: Can be buggy (pack your spray!) and is about a 5-10 minute walk on a relatively wide flat trail with one small decline/incline coming back. (Unless you want to go to the boardwalk [last photo] and then it's a 25 min walk in and back with usually one potentially muddy section.

Farm Field

This location has an open sloping field with views of the white barn buildings and the Belknap mountain range. It also has some stone walls, cedar shake sided buildings, and in season- a beautiful rustic flower garden with native perennials. It also has a nature walk beneath large pine and hemlock trees with large granite boulders.

Pros: huge variety of settings at one location, usually pretty quiet- not many other people around.

Cons: can be buggy in the woods, a bit of walking if you want to use all the different backdrops

Gilford Town Beach**

Not available June-Labor Day**


Tall pines with dappled sunlit trails. Beautiful water views with the presidential mountains behind.


Pros: Forest And lake vibes side by side

Cons: Only really available "off-season" unless you're a town resident. There Are ways to access it- but it's a bit of a bush-wack.
