What to wear?

A good rule of thumb is to keep it Simple. Find one color pallet and stick to it. Usually one neutral (like ivory or cream), and different shades of another color works well. Just make sure that they're all the same warmth (avoid mixing cool and warm tones).

Kids...

I know this may come as a shock,

but I Love kids.

Yes your kid.

Yes, your wiggly, wild, wonderful child.

Worry less about getting them to stand still and smile, my job is to capture authentic moments, so just take a deep breath and let me work my magic. I got this, it's what you're paying for- and I love that fun energy.

Posing?

Most people don't spend a lot of time in front of the camera. I will work with you guys every step of the way. You don't need to worry so much about getting that smile just right or making an awkward amount of eye contact with me- a relative (but friendly!) stranger.

Look at each other.

Look at the beautiful scenery.

It's a way better view.

I'll help you with all the rest.

I'm your ultimate hype-woman.

What do we need to bring?

A couple relaxes on a wooden dock at sunset with a floral bouquet in the foreground.

Showcasing the art in you

Props?

One of the things that can "elevate" a photo session are props. A well-loved quilt, picnic basket, flowers...all of these paint your session as less of a posed and sterile moment and more of a glimpse into a beautiful day in your life. I want your session to feel like the best date/ family get together ever, and I'm just a fly on the wall of your time connecting and laughing together.

There's no pressure, but if you want to bring things to your shoot, go for it!
